Our Medicine Policy – Updated & In Effect 9/8/2019

Quality, Safety & Authenticity at Anchor Health Pharmacy

At Anchor Health Pharmacy, your health and safety come first. We carefully curate and dispense FDA-approved medicines for the U.S. and international market and WHO-GMP–standard products where applicable, with a single goal: to provide reliable, affordable, and authentically sourced medications – whether generic, over-the-counter (OTC), or branded. This policy explains how we source, verify, handle, and ship medicines, and what you should expect when you order from us.

What We Offer

  • Generic medicines: Therapeutically and clinically equivalent alternatives to brand-name drugs, offered at a lower cost without compromising quality or efficacy.
  • OTC medicines: Non-prescription products for self-care (e.g., antibiotics, allergies, cold and flu, digestive health), selected for safety and effectiveness when used as directed.
  • Branded medicines (select): When clinically indicated or preferred by the patient or prescriber.

Generics, Explained Simply

  • Same active ingredient & effect: Generics contain the same active ingredient(s), strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts and are designed to deliver equivalent clinical effect when used as directed.
  • Cost efficiency: Generics are typically less expensive because manufacturers don’t bear the original R&D and brand marketing costs – not because of reduced quality.
  • Inactive ingredients & look: Binders, colorants, or flavouring agents may differ from brand products, and trademark laws mean generics may look different (shape, color, imprint). These differences do not alter the therapeutic effect.
  • Bioequivalence: We prioritize products that demonstrate bioequivalence to reference brands, aligning with FDA expectations or internationally recognized standards.

Sourcing Standards & Supplier Vetting

We work only with licensed, reputable manufacturers and distributors that meet strict quality and safety criteria:

  • FDA approval (for U.S.-marketed medicines): Products offered for the U.S. market are FDA-approved and sourced through legitimate channels.
  • WHO-GMP compliance (for qualifying products): Internationally manufactured medicines must meet WHO Good Manufacturing Practice standards or equivalent national GMP benchmarks.
  • Small, vetted supplier network: We maintain a limited roster of approved suppliers. Onboarding a new supplier requires rigorous due diligence (licenses, inspections history, quality documentation, and supply reliability).
  • Transparent origin: Country of manufacture and packager details are made available; outer packaging/leaflets may differ by country but remain authentic and traceable.

Note: We are an order-taking platform and all orders placed through our platform are reviewed by the licensed prescriber/pharmacist partners. The final dispensing happens only via licensed/DEA-registered partners and use HIPAA-compliant delivery partners to ensure safe, timely and discreet delivery.

Authenticity & Product Verification

Your order passes multiple checks before dispatch:

  • Batch & lot tracking: Every pack is logged with lot number and expiry date for traceability and rapid action if an issue arises.
  • Tamper evidence: Our partnered dispensers ship only sealed, untampered packs. If a seal looks compromised on arrival, do not use the product – contact us immediately.
  • Documentation: Where applicable, we can provide supporting documentation (e.g., manufacturer details or quality confirmations).
  • Pharmacist oversight: Orders flagged for clinical checks (e.g., interactions, duplications, allergies disclosed by you) are reviewed by qualified professionals per our internal protocols.

Packaging, Labeling & What to Expect

  • Packaging differences: Legitimate products from different regions may come with varied packaging or patient inserts. The active ingredient, strength, and dosage remain as ordered.
  • Language & leaflets: Inserts may sometimes include multilingual content. Always follow your prescriber’s directions and the English-language guidance provided on our site or product page; contact us if you need clarification.
  • Dispensing labels: Where required/applicable, our partnered dispenser include a dispensing label with usage directions provided by you/your prescriber.

Temperature Control & Shipping

  • Storage conditions: Our suppliers and delivery partners follow manufacturer guidance for temperature, light, and humidity during storage prior to dispatch and during delivery.
  • Cold-chain items (if applicable): Temperature-sensitive products are shipped using validated materials and timelines. If a cold-chain item arrives warm or compromised, contact us immediately.
  • Transit integrity: All parcels are prepared to minimize breakage and exposure; please inspect your order on arrival.

OTC vs. Prescription Medicines

  • OTC (self-care): Use only as directed on the label. Read warnings, age limits, and contraindications carefully.
  • Prescription items: Some products in categories like Erectile Dysfunction , Sleep Aid , Anxiety & Depression , Blood Pressure , Pain Relief require a valid prescription under applicable laws and our Prescription Policy. We may request a prescription or additional information before dispensing via email or call.
  • Medical advice disclaimer: Content on our website is informational only and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider regarding diagnosis, treatment, and medication use.

Safety Commitments

  • No substitutions without approval: We do not substitute strengths or dosage forms without your or your prescriber’s authorization (except where legally permitted and clinically equivalent).
  • Expiry assurance: We ship products with adequate and maximum remaining shelf life for normal use.
  • Recall readiness: If a manufacturer or regulator issues a recall, we use our batch tracking to identify affected customers and provide next steps (return, replacement, or refund).

Your Responsibilities as a Customer

  • Share accurate information: Provide correct medical history, allergies, and current medications if requested for safety screening.
  • Follow directions: Use medicines exactly as prescribed or labeled; do not share your medication with others.
  • Check your order: Verify name, strength, quantity, and instructions upon delivery. If anything seems off, do not use the product and contact us first.
  • Report issues: Side effects, suspected defects, or efficacy concerns should be reported to us promptly so we can support you and notify relevant parties when needed.
